Rustic DIY: Print Your Family Photos on Wood

I

f you’re into the handmade holiday sort of thing, then you’ll love this idea.  Rustic never goes out of style, and neither does having family photos around the house.  To combine these two things stylishly, try transferring your precious family photos on to wood.

Here are the simple instructions:

Print a picture out on plain paper.

Take piece of wood-any will do. You can get different sizes and smooth wood shapes from craft stores like Michael’s and Hobby Lobby, and they usually have discount coupons in the newspaper and online.  Coat with Mod Podge. (Check out the Mod Podge blog for more cool ideas on how to use this magical stuff.) Then turn the picture upside down on the wood, press it down, and let it dry overnight.

The next day, use water and your hands to rub the paper off of the wood.  Your picture should now be on the wood! Cover it with a bit more Mod Podge, and you’ve created a rustic masterpiece.

Print your family photos on wood: Print your picture out on plain paper, Take piece of wood and coat with mod podge, turn picture upside down on wood press and let dry overnight. next day using water and your hands rub paper off of wood (your picture will be on the wood) now cover with more mod podge.
