Black Friday at Galleria Dallas (and throughout the holidays!)

I

t’s finally here: Thanksgiving Week!  It’s the kickoff of the holiday season and frenzied shopping, and what better way to get things going than to go to the shopping mall in the heart of it all?! They say everything is bigger in Texas, and sure enough, from the center of the Galleria Dallas ice rink rises America’s tallest indoor Christmas Tree, sparkling with nearly a quarter million lights and more than 10,000 ornaments. The iconic holiday symbol soars 95 feet beneath the center’s massive glass atrium, providing a memorable photo backdrop for families from all over North Texas, and from as from far away as Canada and Latin America.

Join other families center court starting at noon on “Black Friday” and then each Saturday at 5 p.m. to watch Holiday Magic on Ice featuring Missile Toes, Galleria’s pyrotechnic skating Santa. Joining Missile Toes at each skating show is a top celebrity skating star, leading off with former US Olympic Star Brian Boitano on Friday, November 23 and Saturday, November 24.

Worried about parking? Don’t freak out. Valet parking stations are found at locations around the center, and for those who choose to self‐park, the process couldn’t be easier. Drivers are assisted by Galleria’s red‐suited and Santa‐hatted parking directors as they park in one of the center’s 10,000
covered parking spaces – more than any other center in the region.

If guests are arriving from out of town, the Westin Galleria (rated #1 property in the worldwide Westin organization) is the perfect weekend location from which to shop and dine during the holiday shopping season, on‐property access to Galleria Dallas’ 200 fabulously fashionable stores like Michael Kors, H&M, Zara, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Brahmin, Lululemon, Bachendorf’s, Tiffany, Gucci, American Girl and more.

If you get hungry, you can grab delicious bites from The Grill on the Alley, Townhouse Kitchen+Bar, The Second Floor Bistro & Bar, Grand Lux Café, and The Oceanaire.  If you’re wanting to eat something quick and causal, shoppers have nearly 30 dining options to choose from.

Holiday shopping is fun for the whole family, so each day, children can visit Santa in his village or enjoy the free kids’ shows at Slappy’s Holiday Circus on weekends. Holiday music from a full schedule of entertainers enhances the holiday mood, and Galleria Dallas celebrates Hanukkah, the festival of lights, beginning with the lighting of the first candle on Galleria’s Hanukkah Menorah the first night of the celebration, then successive candle lightings each night for the seven remaining days of festivities. Since Christmas is all about giving, Galleria Dallas guests are invited to select one or several Angel Tags from the Salvation Army Angel Tree and then have great fun shopping for their special holiday adoptees!
