Spring Style Is On My Brain….

I

t’s been an unseasonably warm winter all over the country, so naturally spring is on the brain.  Every time I pass a J. Crew with those bold, juicy colors I get a little giddy inside.  Who wouldn’t?  Bold colors, nude makeup, and a healthy dose of Vitamin D from the impending sunshine are on the horizon, people!  If you aren’t quite there yet, I have a few things to inspire you to go bathe yourself in color.

What should you keep your eyes peeled for this spring?

1. Bold blazers. I’m talkin’ hot pink, lavender, bright yellow, orange, chartreuse, you name it. Throw on a white t-shirt or cami underneath and pair it with jeans, a skirt, or shorts.  Done!

2. Blinged-out friendship bracelets.  Remember friendship bracelets from summer camp?  They are back in a big way, but this time they brought their friends Rhinestone and Crystal with them.  Make your own (courtesy of More Design Please,) or buy ’em here.

3. Nude cosmetics.  Too many bright colors on one palette can be overwhelming, so pair your bold outfit with muted eyes, lips, and nails.  Simple, chic, and will make you look years younger. (Unless you’re already 12 or something, in which case you should probably take off that make-up, young lady.)
