Dallas Handmade Arts Market Opens September 1–2 in Design District

C

rafty McCraftersons get ready. The Dallas Handmade Arts Market will be DFW’s first indoor market for local artists, crafters, and designers to sell their handmade items to the general public every weekend. The Grand Opening weekend begins on Saturday, September 1, 2012, at 10AM in the Dallas Design District at 327 Cole St.

People who love shopping for unique, handmade art, photography, fashion, décor, will feel like they’ve found their paradise at Dallas Handmade Arts Market. Each weekend will feature up to 50 different artists selling their handmade arts and crafts, plus live background music from local musicians, and complimentary “Wine Walk Saturdays” and “Beer Browse Sundays”  for guests 21 and older, while supplies last. (Handmade and hammered do not go hand in hand, so shop responsibly.)

Talented, handmade artists from the Dallas-Ft. Worth area may rent a booth for single or multiple weekends, thus ensuring every weekend will feature new and different artists to discover. Jorge Herrera, President and Chief Artist Herder says, “Many handmade artists have other, full-time jobs or can only produce small quantities of their products, so it doesn’t make sense for them to open their own store. Instead, they can rent a weekend booth and connect with shoppers who appreciate handmade quality and feel good about supporting the Dallas arts community.”  How smart is that?  Don’t miss the chance to find local treasures and keep money in the pockets of Dallas creatives.

Hours of Operation:
Saturdays 10AM–7PM (Wine Walk 5–7)
Sundays 11AM–5PM (Beer Browse 3–5)
