Easter Surprise: Bunny Butt Cake

W

ith Easter just a few short days away, it’s time to get to the nitty-gritty of what to make for Easter treats.  When I saw Betty Crocker’s “Bunny Butt Cake”, I almost fell out of my chair.  It’s hilarious, holiday-appropriate, and easy to make!

After reading this comment by someone who tried it, I decided this was the year to make this my family tradition as well.

“When I was a child, my mother always made a bunny cake for Easter (though never from this perspective) and I have continued this legacy for my kids and grandkids. This year I intend to make the Bunny Butt cake but, being from northern Texas, I think I’ll use coarsely ground ginger snaps to simulate our clay soil under the green “grass” instead of chocolate cookies. And to further explain what the bunny is doing, I’m going to build up the area around the edges of the “rabbit hole” with extra “dirt”. I’m certain that my family will LOVE it!! Thanks Betty Crocker!”
