or all the controversy surrounding the skinny Minnie that hit the Internet several months ago, last night’s “Electric Holiday” came together beautifully. Two of our most beloved companies brought Christmas cheer in the form of their campaign complete with cartoon ads and fabulous window displays.

The centerpiece of the campaign was the video focusing on Minnie Mouse’s fantasy of walking the runway at Paris Fashion Week. Blake Lively (Reynolds?) looks fabulous in a Lanvin dress, but Minnie rocked it like no one could. She definitely looked slimmer in the video, but nothing like the images released earlier this year. Her fantasy includes lovely animated versions of Sarah Jessica Parker, Naomi Campbell, Lady Gaga, Crystal Renn, Linda Evangelista and more familiar faces in fashion.

New Yorkers donned electric mouse ears as SJP, Barneys CEO Mark Lee, and Disney CEO Bob Iger took the stage to kick off the campaign. If any city needed the combined forces of two such beloved companies, it’s New York. But then again, where else could such a fabulous event take place?
