Dallas Fashion Meets Ukranian Haute Couture

he Grand Ballroom of The Fairmont Hotel felt more like a Milan catwalk as dozens of top models strutted before a packed house of couture lovers. Staged by Heidi Dillon and her team from the Fashionistas and produced by Jan Strimple, this fashion event showcased the remarkable talents of Sergey Ermakov who has been blind since childhood. Proceeds from the fashion show benefited the Fashionistas and American Foundation for the Blind. Working from his shop in the Ukraine, Ermakov “sees” the designs in his head, then feels his way around a mannequin to create wondrous, world class couture dresses.
